Regina is an important city in Canada's history. It is home to the RCMP's training academy and museum, as well as the location of several battles of the Riel Rebellion. There are a dozen museums and historical sites, lots of parks and river-side greenspace, and activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). Regina has a spectaular downtown with exciting and innovative architecture that rivals other large Canadian cities, but in its heart Regina is the government and business centre for the province of Saskatchewan.
