The district of Lakeview dates back to the era of constructing the Saskatchewan Legislature, when the wealthier residents of that time chose to build their mansions with a view of the structure.
These communities are built around artificial lakes, unique to this end of Regina. These communities are architecturally controlled, with guidelines regarding the streetscape, home size and even home colours.
